Prosser Clinic – Prosser Memorial Health – located at 336 Chardonnay Ave., Ste. A, Prosser – will offer free sport physicals to area students on select days throughout the summer.
“Sports and other activities are an important part of a student’s middle and high school experience,” Prosser Memorial Family Medicine Provider Carolyn O’Connor, MD, said. “Sports physicals and wellness exams help determine whether your child meets baseline health requirements and is able to safely participate in school athletics and activities.”
The free sport physicals will be completed on a walk-in/no appointment and first-come, first-served basis on the following days and times:
June 20 – 3-8 p.m.
June 21 – 3-7 p.m.
July 11 – 3-7 p.m.
July 25 – 3-7 p.m.
Aug. 8 – 3-7 p.m.
Aug. 22 – 3-7 p.m.
Sport physicals include a basic physical exam and take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Students in 6th-12th grade are required to complete a physical. Students are asked to bring their sports physical form and student ID, if available, to their physical. The forms are available through Prosser and Grandview schools.
If a child is unable to complete a physical on one of the designated days and times, he or she may schedule a full well-child exam at a Prosser Memorial clinic, which will cover the sports physical requirements, by calling 509.786.1576.
