Childbirth Classes

Bringing a new child into the world can be an overwhelming experience—even if you’ve done it before. Our childbirth education courses are here to help.

Empowering Expectant Moms and Families General Information and Guidance for Parents-to-Be

Our goal is to put you in charge of your birth experience. Childbirth classes help put you at ease as you plan for your new arrival, and are a great way to connect with other new parents. Classes are taught by PMH registered nurse staff members and include:

  • Prenatal care

  • Pain management

  • Stages of labor

  • Packing a labor bag

  • What to expect after delivery

  • How to care for your newborn

  • Breastfeeding techniques

  • Car seat safety

  • Milestones of your baby’s first year

  • Family Birthplace tour

All classes are a day long, starting at 9:00 A.M. and ending at 3:00 P.M. Lunch is provided.
