Giving your baby the best start to life begins with exceptional prenatal care. Throughout your pregnancy, your prenatal care team will perform regular checkups, screenings, and ultrasounds to ensure that you and your baby stay healthy.
Gestational Diabetes Screening
Fetal Doppler Test
3D & 4D Ultrasounds
Watch your baby smile for the first time thanks to the high-quality images provided by our 3D and 4D ultrasounds.
This technology provides not only real-time 3-dimensional images, but 4D videos as well. The quality and detail of the images far outweighs any available in the past decade and allows our doctors and staff to broaden their assessment and give a diagnosis with higher confidence.
PMH provides expectant mothers and their families with detailed images of their babies as early as 19 weeks.
Visit Our Labor & Delivery Suites
We recommend that all expectant parents take a free guided tour throughout our labor and delivery department, so they have an idea of what to expect on the day your little one arrives. Tours are also a great opportunity for us to show off our brand-new birthing suites and the many features they offer, including:
Room for Family
Expanded Safety Measures
PMH Family Birthplace is staffed with an experienced team of specially trained professionals ready to care for you and your baby. These are just a few of the resources we offer new parents:
Our lactation specialist accommodates our staff with an open schedule to best meet patient needs and provide breastfeeding support. Lactation support is also incorporated into our prenatal classes and postpartum support group.
Your child learns to speak by hearing. Hearing loss is the most common birth defect, affecting 4-6 newborns per 1,000. We screen all newborn infants to detect hearing loss as early as possible.
Our community outreach nurse accompanies our Community Paramedics on their visits to moms with special needs resulting from OB/GYN surgeries or C-sections. This service may also extend to higher risk deliveries or babies needing a little extra care and support.
PMH Family Birthplace has specially planned events for new moms and their babies to provide support, share ideas, and socialize.
The primary delivering physicians at Prosser Memorial Hospital Family Birthplace include Derek Weaver, DO, of Weaver Family Medicine; Brian Sollers, DO, and Lisa Galbraith, DO, of Kadlec OB/GYN Clinic - Prosser; and Wali Martin, MD, of Prosser Family Medicine. Prosser Memorial Health also has an expanding group of primary care/family medicine providers and pediatricians to care for you, your family, and your newest addition.
This is how we care.
Around here, caring means more than exceptional medical care at world-class facilities. Care goes beyond the doctor’s office, the hospital, or the HIPAA agreement. To us, care is personal—from the gut, and from the heart. It’s about coming together to mend spirits with personal connections every day.
